Destination Wedding Photography - Baku, Azerbaijan {Part 1}

I'm going to jump right in and say this: before Fidan and Dan emailed me the extent of my knowledge of Azerbaijan was Eurovision-related. I could't have pointed to it on a map. While I love adventure, it wasn't my desire to travel that enticed me to take a huge leap into the unknown... it was what entices me to shoot every wedding I photograph - it was the couple. Their story excited me... him from Liverpool, her from Baku, meeting in the US and now starting a life together. They wanted photos that were non-traditional and a little bit different. I knew that it would be a really special wedding and I wasn't wrong. It was an incredible few days… heartfelt and exciting and eye opening and brilliant. I'll be blogging their reception photos and sharing more of my adventure soon but for now, here's the photos from their ceremony and intimate dinner with their closest family and friends in Baku.
