When Jo from the Couture Co (purveyor of the most badass wedding dresses and corsets) and I went to a talk by Kirsty Mitchell at Photography Farm on the subject of styled shoots we came away inspired to plan our own. Discovering a shared love for Japan and the Harajuku style and all things kawaii we decided it was an untapped source of inspiration for a bridal shoot. We wanted it to be bright and colourful and packed with detail like one big decoden explosion. With the awesome skills of Ava Event Styling helping us making it a reality and the phenomenal Elbie Van Eeden masterminding hair and make up and leaving me pretty much star struck all day among the incredible team of suppliers listed below it was the most ambitious shoot I've been part of - add in hyperemisis gravidarum (extreme morning sickness) and it was a lot hard work but totally exhilarating, especially when Rock n Roll Bride featured the shoot. Do not adjust your screens… it's really this colourful.
